The Tributaries
100 images, 2011
The installation is achieved as shown in the illustration. The public is led to a very dark room. The Tributaries portraits are projected on the walls large scale at a slow rhythm. Every portrait fades in slowly, stays for 30 seconds and fades out. After 10 seconds of black the next image appears. An original soundtrack is played inside and outside the room which puts the viewer into a calm mood. The projection is looped but lasts long enough for the viewer not to experience repetition.
