The pier
9 images, 2011
Invited by Peggy Sue Amison, these photographs were made during an artist residency at the Sirius Arts Centre in Decembre 2009. It was my first time in Ireland and I was fortunate to be given the freedom and time to discover Cobh. I worked as I am accustomed. I followed my path and went where my feet took me. I discovered the town of Cobh and the atomosphere of its hills, neighborhoods, countryside and landscapes. These nine images are what I kept from my walks. I hope that the people of Cobh will recognise, in some way, the places I photographed and will get a sense that I found something here that has existed for ages in their life and country.
